C@ELITESQUAD.
AI ## Role Overview We are looking for an experienced DevOps Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, resilient, and automated cloud infrastructure and data platform solutions. The candidate should have a robust architectural mindset and the ability to translate business and programme requirements into practical technical designs that engineering teams can implement. This role requires hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, deployment automation, security, monitoring, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate must be comfortable making architectural decisions, evaluating technology trade-offs, establishing DevOps best practices, and collaborating with engineering, data, security, and platform teams. ##

Key Responsibilities
### 1. Cloud Architecture – Microsoft Azure
* Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.
* Architect Azure infrastructure components, including Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
* Define secure networking, identity and access management, private connectivity, and cloud resource governance.
* Establish cloud infrastructure standards, operational best practices, and reusable architectural patterns.
* Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. ### 2. DevOps, CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code
* Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, applications, and data platform deployments.
* Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules and environment-specific configurations.
* Implement automated provisioning, configuration management, deployment validation, and infrastructure testing.
* Integrate source control, code reviews, automated testing, security scanning, and approval workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
* Establish Git-based workflows, branching strategies, versioning standards, and release management practices.
* Implement DevSecOps practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, and secure deployment processes. ### 3. Kubernetes & Container Orchestration
* Architect, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, with a strong focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
* Design Kubernetes cluster architecture, namespace isolation, workload scheduling, resource allocation, and scaling strategies.
* Implement Helm-based deployments, container image management, and automated application releases.
* Configure Kubernetes networking, ingress, service discovery, persistent storage, and secure workload communication.
* Implement cluster monitoring, logging, health checks, autoscaling,

and self-healing mechanisms.
* Design strategies for Kubernetes upgrades, high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and workload restoration. ### 4. Snowflake Platform & DevOps Integration
* Design and implement automated deployment and operational workflows for Snowflake environments.
* Establish CI/CD processes for Snowflake database objects, including schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and related configurations.
* Automate Snowflake configuration and deployment using Git-based workflows, Terraform, and suitable database deployment tools.
* Implement secure access management through role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege permissions, and controlled credential management.
* Support secure connectivity between Snowflake and Azure-based applications, data pipelines, and cloud storage.
* Establish environment promotion strategies across development, testing, staging, and production.
* Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, platform governance, monitoring, and operational efficiency. ### 5. Security, Governance & Reliability
* Implement a security-first architecture using zero-trust principles, least-privilege access, and identity-based controls.
* Define security standards for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and Snowflake environments.
* Implement centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and audit trails.
* Establish backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response procedures.
* Identify architectural risks, assess failure scenarios, and implement appropriate resilience measures.
* Ensure infrastructure and deployment practices align with organizational security and compliance requirements. ### 6. Architecture Leadership & Stakeholder Management
* Translate business requirements and programme objectives into detailed architectural designs and implementation plans.
* Document architecture decisions, technical specifications, deployment patterns, security controls, and operational procedures.
* Evaluate architectural alternatives and explain trade-offs involving cost, complexity, scalability, security, and maintainability.
* Guide DevOps engineers, cloud engineers, Kubernetes specialists, and data engineering teams.
* Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions and resolve technical challenges.
* Establish engineering standards and drive continuous improvements across cloud and data platform operations. ## Required Technical Skills Cloud & Infrastructure
* Microsoft Azure architecture and administration.

* Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
* Azure networking, identity, security, storage, and monitoring.
* Cloud infrastructure design, high availability, and disaster recovery. DevOps & Automation
* Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
* CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
* Git and GitHub-based source control and collaboration.
* Automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
* DevSecOps, secrets management, and infrastructure security. Kubernetes & Containers
* Kubernetes architecture and administration.
* Docker and container image management.
* Helm charts and automated deployments.
* Kubernetes networking, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
* Cluster security, upgrades, and resilience. Snowflake & Data Platform
* Snowflake architecture and administration fundamentals.
* Snowflake deployment automation and database change management.
* Snowflake RBAC, security, and environment management.
* Integration of Snowflake with Azure services and cloud-based data pipelines.
* Terraform-based Snowflake resource management and configuration. Monitoring & Reliability
* Centralized logging, metrics, alerting, and observability.
* Incident management and root-cause analysis.
* Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
* Performance optimization and cloud cost management. ## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
* Experience with Argo CD, Flux, or other GitOps tools.
* Knowledge of Kubernetes policy enforcement and container security.
* Experience with Snowflake schema migration and database deployment tools.
* Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
* Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or similar observability tools.
* Understanding of private endpoints, secure cloud connectivity, and enterprise networking.
* Relevant Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Snowflake certifications. ## Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is an architecture-focused professional who can design solutions based on real-world constraints rather than relying solely on standard architectural patterns. They should be able to develop implementation-ready designs, establish secure and automated infrastructure practices, and clearly explain and defend technical decisions. The candidate must demonstrate a combination of architectural depth, hands-on DevOps expertise, Terraform automation, Kubernetes proficiency, Azure cloud architecture, and Snowflake platform integration. Key Evaluation Areas: 1. Azure cloud architecture and secure infrastructure design. 2. Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD automation. 3. Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and operational management. 4. Snowflake deployment automation and cloud integration. 5. Security-first design, zero-trust principles, and disaster recovery. 6. Architectural decision-making, trade-off analysis, and stakeholder communication.
