Role Description The Head of Retail Sales will lead and manage all retail sales operations across MG Group’s building material showrooms and outlets. This full-time, in office role is based in Kozhikode and involves driving sales performance, setting and monitoring sales targets, and implementing retail strategies to grow revenue and market share. Daily responsibilities include supervising and coaching sales teams, ensuring high standards of customer service, overseeing store merchandising and product displays, and analyzing sales data to optimize pricing, promotions, and inventory.



The role also involves collaborating with management and cross-functional teams on business development initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with key customers and channel partners, and ensuring adherence to company policies and brand guidelines. The Head of Retail Sales will be accountable for creating a customer-centric retail environment that reflects MG Group’s commitment to quality and excellence. Qualifications
• Strong expertise in Retail Sales and overall Sales management, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret sales reports, market trends, and customer data for informed decision-making.
• Effective Team Management capabilities, including coaching, performance monitoring, and fostering a collaborative sales culture.
• Excellent Customer Service orientation, with the ability to build long-term relationships and ensure a high-quality in-store experience.
• Previous experience in building materials, home improvement, or related retail sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Kozhikode and travel to different retail locations as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added benefit.
