Role Description: This full-time, on-site Professor of Finance role is based in Kolkata. The Professor of Finance will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in finance and related disciplines, using contemporary teaching methods and industry-relevant case studies. Daily responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, guiding classroom discussions, supervising student projects and dissertations, and providing academic advising and mentoring.



The role involves conducting high-quality research, publishing in reputable journals, and contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement. The professor will also participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, industry collaboration initiatives, and student outreach activities that support Amity University’s mission of academic and professional excellence. Qualifications
• Strong academic and practical expertise in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach and supervise work in these areas.
• Competence in Accounting and related quantitative financial skills to support course delivery and research.
• Demonstrated Research capabilities, including publication in peer-reviewed journals and engagement in funded or collaborative projects.
• PhD in Finance.
• Previous experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring is highly desirable.
• Ability to use modern pedagogical tools, learning management systems, and data analysis software in teaching and research.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical academic practices.
• Evidence of industry engagement, consulting, or professional certifications in finance-related areas is an advantage.
