Role Description The Sous Chef – Western cuisine is a full-time, in office role based at DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Whitefield in Bengaluru East. The role involves supervising daily kitchen operations for Western cuisine, including menu execution, food preparation, cooking, and presentation to brand standards. The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in planning menus, managing inventory, and ensuring consistent food quality, hygiene, and safety in accordance with hotel policies and local regulations. This role also includes mentoring and training kitchen team members,



coordinating with service teams, and contributing to cost control, waste reduction, and overall guest satisfaction. Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Western culinary techniques, menu planning, and modern presentation styles.
• Experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating at a supervisory level.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices, with the ability to implement and monitor compliance.
• Team leadership and people management skills, including training, scheduling, and performance guidance for junior kitchen staff.
• Ability to manage inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with service teams and other hotel departments.
• Relevant culinary education or certification from a recognized institute; prior experience as Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in Western cuisine is preferred.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required in hotel operations.
