Role Description The Accounts & Compliance Manager is a contract role responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. This position will manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting, while maintaining accurate records for audits and regulatory reviews. The role includes implementing and monitoring internal controls, coordinating with external auditors and consultants, and staying updated on applicable financial and compliance regulations. The position is hybrid, based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region,



with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Accounts & Compliance Manager will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support transparent, compliant, and efficient financial processes. Qualifications
• Robust foundation in accounting principles, including bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal controls, preferably within financial services or fintech.
• Proficiency with accounting and compliance software tools, spreadsheets, and data analysis for accurate reporting and documentation.
• Ability to interpret financial regulations, create compliant processes, and coordinate audits and regulatory filings.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a structured approach to documentation and record-keeping.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CS) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a startup, fintech, or wealth management environment is beneficial, along with comfort working in a dynamic, evolving setting.
