About the role
We are looking for a Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant to own the technical side of our D365 platform. You will design, build and integrate solutions that support Finance, Procurement and Operations across the business. This is a hands-on senior role with leadership scope. You will write code, shape the architecture and lead a small team. You will also manage the D365 development budget and advise leadership on where the platform should go next.

Key responsibilities
Solution design and architecture
• Contribute to the technical design and architecture of Dynamics 365 solutions.
• Turn functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and scalable designs.
• Analyse complex business processes and produce technical design documents. Development and customisation
• Customise and extend D365 using X++, C#/.
NET and JavaScript.
• Build extensions and configurations with a focus on user experience and a holistic product approach.



Integrations
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs, OData, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus or middleware.
• Develop and manage custom web services and APIs. Support, documentation and improvement
• Diagnose and fix issues in D365 environments, custom code and integrations.
• Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, specifications and integration mappings.
• Keep up with Microsoft release updates and best practices. Budget and ROI
• Plan and manage the D365 development and integration budget.
• Track spend and return on investment, and find cost savings without lowering quality. Team leadership
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of D365 professionals.
• Set and track KPIs, and support the team's training and growth.
• Build a collaborative, innovative way of working. Collaboration and platform insights
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, Operations and other teams to align ERP plans.
• Analyse system performance, usage and integration errors to find optimisation and automation opportunities.
• Advise on platform enhancements, technical debt and new D365,



Power Platform and Azure capabilities. What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Microsoft certifications MB-300 (Core Finance and Operations) and MB-500 (Finance and Operations Apps Developer).
• 5+ years of hands-on Dynamics 365 technical development, preferably in Finance & Operations (F&O;).
• Strong X++, C#/.
NET and JavaScript skills for customising and extending D365.
• Proven integration experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and Service Bus, plus REST APIs and OData.
• Experience with SSRS reporting and D365 data management tools (DMF, data entities).
• At least one end-to-end D365 implementation, through to go-live. Nice to have
• Experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• Exposure to Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Power Platform.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, LCS and CI/CD for D365.
