About Unified AI Every plant already has the data. It sits in a historian nobody queries, in batch records nobody reads back, and in the heads of three people on the shift. So when a batch runs long or a yield slips, finding out why is an afternoon of pulling trends and asking around, and by then the next batch is already running. We build AI agents that close that gap for Indian specialty chemical, pharma, and API plants. Process data and process knowledge sit in one system, so DCS and historian streams are read against the plant's own SOPs, batch recipes, and operational history. The agents investigate and act. They aren't another dashboard waiting for someone to ask the right question. They run on the instrumentation the plant already owns. No new sensors, no rip-and-replace, no capex case anyone has to defend upstairs. That is why we deploy in weeks rather than quarters. Deviation investigations that used to take hours now take about ten minutes, and the cycle time we give back comes out of equipment already sitting on the floor. Our founders came out of enterprise automation software, and each of us comes from a manufacturing family. The team is early, and the customers are live, which means you work with the founders directly and see what you build reach a plant floor in weeks. Role Overview
• Own customer pilots end to end, from the first technical conversation to a plant that uses the product every day and a customer ready to roll it out further.
• Find out what each plant runs and what data it can give us, get that data flowing with one of our engineers, analyse it as a chemical engineer, and run the pilot so it succeeds.
• Work as a pair with a platform engineer. You own the customer, the process, and the analysis; they own the integration build.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the customer, from plant floor to plant head. The founder will step in to unblock you when needed.
• Be the voice of the customer to the rest of the company, helping shape platform improvements and iteration. What You'll Own — Systems and Data Discovery
• Map each plant's systems with production, process, instrumentation, and IT/OT teams, including DCS, historians, digital batch records, LIMS, QC sheets, downtime logs, and SOPs.
• Define the data each use case needs, such as tags, batch records, quality results, recipes, and specifications.
• Assess how readily each source is available, including access, format, history depth, export path, and owner.
• Complete a data readiness assessment for every account before kickoff, with gaps and plant-side owners named.
• Judge, with the founders, which plants and use cases have the data to succeed. What You'll Own — Data Access and Integration
• Agree the extraction approach with the customer's IT and OT teams, covering historian access, exports, network and VPN, and security approvals.
• Work alongside our platform engineer to set up data retrieval on the customer side. You run the customer conversation; they build the connection.
• Map tags to activities using P&IDs;, PFDs, and instrument indexes.
• Capture recipes, including setpoints, ramp rates, hold times, acceptance criteria, and tolerance bands.
• Monitor feed health, including dead tags, stopped exports, stale servers, and cleared DCS buffers, and catch issues before the customer does. What You'll Own — Process Data Analysis
• Validate data against process reality, such as stuck transmitters, mislabelled tags, resetting totalizers, impossible cycle times, and yields that break a mass balance.
• Analyse batch and process data to find the first wins, including cycle time losses, deviation patterns, idle time, and yield variation.
• Turn findings into a clear story for plant heads and management: what we found, what it is worth, and what to do next.
• Build the evidence that the pilot worked, in numbers the plant's own team agrees with. What You'll Own — Pilot Operations and Customer Success
• Run each pilot end to end, including kickoff, milestone plan, weekly cadence, escalation, and closeout.
• Run weekly customer reviews, including the agenda, minutes, and a numbered action list with owners and dates.
• Maintain one open-item list per account, with an owner and an age against every row.
• Drive adoption with plant users through training and check-ins, making sure the agents get used day to day.
• Prepare progress and management reviews. Tooling drafts them; you verify every number.
• Build the case for moving from pilot to rollout, together with the founders. What You'll Own — Product Feedback
• Translate plant reality into problem statements engineers can build against.
• Judge what is worth automating.
• Write a deployment playbook so every pilot makes the next one faster. Qualifications
• BTech or BE in Chemical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience, with at least 2 years hands-on in an operating specialty chemical, pharma, or API plant across production, process, technical services, or operational excellence. Design office and EPC experience does not substitute.
• Experience working with plant data: you have pulled data from a DCS, historian, or LIMS, or been part of a digitalisation, MES, or historian project.
• Strong data analysis
skills:
advanced Excel at minimum, and comfortable working through large time-series and batch datasets.
• Ability to read P&IDs; and PFDs independently.
• Robust process literacy: you can spot impossible numbers on a sheet, whether it's negative pressure, a 40-hour cycle on a 22-hour batch, or a yield that breaks a mass balance.
• Customer-facing polish: you have presented findings to plant heads or senior management, run meetings with external stakeholders, and write clearly.
• Cross-department follow-through, with a specific example you can talk through.
• Fluent in Hindi and English.
• Based in Bengaluru and genuinely willing to travel up to 2 weeks per month to customer plants in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Travel is fully covered. Strong Pluses
• SQL or Python for data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with DCS, SCADA, or historians, such as Yokogawa, Siemens, Honeywell, Emerson, or AVEVA PI, and familiarity with OPC.
• Experience with industrial analytics tools such as Seeq, TrendMiner, or PI Vision.
• Experience working at, or serving as the plant-side contact for, an industrial software or technology vendor.
• Consulting, technical services, or operational excellence project experience.
• Experience working with AI or AI agents.
• Gujarati or Marathi language skills.
• Experience with multi-product batch operations rather than single-product continuous operations.
• Six Sigma or operational excellence training. What Success Looks Like at Six Months
• Every new pilot starts with a data readiness assessment, and no pilot waits more than a week on data access.
• Every live account has a process model its own team recognises as accurate.
• Every pilot has at least one finding the plant head agrees is worth acting on, backed by numbers they trust.
• At least one pilot has moved to a paid rollout with you as the lead.
• our assigned customers call you first.
• You have created a repeatable deployment playbook.
