Key responsibilities
1. Mobilisation and planning
• Study the work order before mobilisation: scope matrix, rates, measurement rules, payment terms, retention, recoveries and penalties. Flag commercial risks to the Managing Partner.
• Prepare the mobilization plan: trade-wise labour histogram against the client's schedule, core staff, tools and tackles, site office and labour camp.
• Run 3-week look-ahead and weekly plans by tower and floor. Confirm fronts, GFC drawings, crane and hoist time, and concrete supply with the client daily. 2. Labour mobilization, deployment and retention
• Mobilise and hold the committed strength by trade: shuttering carpenters, aluminum formwork fitters, bar benders, masons, concrete gangs and helpers.
• Build a dependable network of gang leaders and labour sources across states. Settle gang-leader advances and payments transparently.
• Plan for attrition around Holi, Chhath, Diwali and harvest seasons, with replacement pipelines and retention incentives.
• Run the labour camp to the client's audit standard: drinking water, sanitation, kitchens, electrical and fire safety, first aid. 3. Execution, productivity and cycle time
• Deliver the committed floor cycle. Explicit constraints before they idle a gang.
• Track daily output per man-day by trade against the rate-analysis assumptions; correct shortfalls the same day.
• Ensure pre-pour checks, pour cards, curing and de-shuttering times as per specification. 4. Quality
• Execute to GFC drawings, specifications, the client's method statements and inspection test plans (ITPs), and relevant IS codes.
• Get stage inspections right the first time; rework is at PRW cost.
• Close NCRs and snag lists within agreed timelines; keep checklists and quality records current. 5. Health, safety and environment
• Enforce the client's HSE plan: PPE, work-at-height permits, full-body harnesses with lifelines,
edge protection and safety nets. Ensure scaffold tagging, lifting and hot-work permits, and ELCB-protected power.
• Induct every new worker, hold daily toolbox talks, deploy safety stewards as per client norms, and report near-misses.
• Manage summer heat stress (work-rest cycles, water, shade) and medical fitness for height work.
• Follow CAQM/GRAP dust-control norms for NCR. Plan work and retain labor through GRAP restrictions on construction.
• Target zero incidents and zero safety penalties; back-charges for violations come straight out of margin. 6. Measurement, billing and commercial control
• Take joint measurements with client engineers as per the contract's measurement rules (IS 1200 where applicable). Submit RA bills on schedule and follow through to certification and payment.
• Track work done, billed, certified and received; keep unbilled work to a minimum.
• Document and claim extra items, rate revisions and hindrance or idle-labor claims, backed by the hindrance register and written client instructions.
• Reconcile every bill's deduction: retention, advance recovery, material recovery and penalties. Contest unjustified back-charges.
• Track labor cost against billing per tower and review package margin weekly with the Managing Partner. 7. Free-issue material, formwork and tools
• Reconcile client-supplied materials (reinforcement steel, binding wire, cement, cover blocks) monthly against theoretical consumption. Keep wastage within contractual limits to avoid recoveries.
• Take custody of client formwork, aluminum or conventional: inventory, cleaning, oiling, and loss and damage control. 8. Statutory labour compliance and welfare
• Keep every registration current: contractor license under the applicable labour law, BOCW registration of workers, PF and ESIC.
• Pay wages on time by bank transfer, at or above Haryana minimum wages. Maintain biometric attendance, wage and overtime records.
• Complete worker documentation: KYC, police verification, ID cards, medical fitness and insurance. Report accidents within statutory timelines. 9. Client and stakeholder management
• Be Banga's single point of contact with the client's project, planning, QA/QC and HSE teams; attend weekly review meetings.
• Coordinate interfaces with other agencies on site: MEP, waterproofing, façade and lifts.
• Liaise with the labour department, BOCW board, police (worker verification) and local vendors. 10. Team leadership
• Recruit, deploy and develop the site team; run a daily planning meeting and assign an owner to every front.
• Enforce integrity: true attendance, honest measurement, no ghost labour and no cash leakage. 11. Reporting to the Managing Partner
• Daily: labour strength by trade, work done, productivity, safety observations and constraints.
• Weekly: progress against plan, 3-week look-ahead, billing status, wage-cash requirement, margin and risks.
• Monthly: package P&L;, material reconciliation, compliance status,
receivables and labour forecast. 12. Business growth
