Role Description The Oracle Database Administrator is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring database health, tuning performance, managing backups and recovery, and implementing replication strategies. The role also involves enforcing database security policies, troubleshooting incidents, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and data-related initiatives. The Oracle Database Administrator is expected to document processes, adhere to best practices,



and contribute to continuous improvement of the database environment. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Oracle Database Administration and general Database Administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
• Candidates should possess skills in Replication and high-availability solutions to support reliable and scalable database environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve database performance, availability, and integrity issues efficiently.
• Candidates should possess skills in Database Security, including user management, access control, encryption, and compliance with security standards.
• Relevant experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting (such as Shell or Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Experience working with Linux/Unix environments and familiarity with monitoring tools for database and system performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on-site in Chennai.
