Job Title: SAP ABAP / Oracle Modernization SME Role Overview We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP / Oracle Modernization Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support enterprise application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in legacy SAP ABAP applications, Oracle technologies, technical analysis, and modernization or migration strategies. The candidate will be expected to assess existing applications, understand legacy code and business logic, identify modernization opportunities, and work with architecture, development, and data teams to support transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze existing SAP ABAP custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and legacy application components.
• Assess legacy Oracle applications and database components, where applicable, to identify modernization and migration opportunities.
• Understand existing business logic, dependencies, integrations, and data flows across enterprise applications.
• Evaluate legacy code for complexity, performance, maintainability, and compatibility with modern platforms.
• Recommend suitable modernization approaches, including code remediation, refactoring, migration, or re-engineering.
• Support technical discovery, application assessment, dependency mapping, and modernization planning.
• Collaborate with SAP, Oracle, data engineering,



enterprise architecture, and business teams.
• Support technical documentation, solution design, testing, validation, and migration activities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and potential issues during application modernization. Required Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development and legacy SAP applications.
• Experience analyzing custom ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, interfaces, and business logic.
• Working knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Experience with legacy application modernization, migration, code assessment, or re-engineering.
• Robust understanding of enterprise application architecture, data flows, and system integrations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills. Preferred Skills
• SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA modernization or migration experience.
• ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, OData, and SAP integration technologies.
• Experience with Oracle application or database modernization, including legacy code assessment.
• Exposure to cloud migration, data platforms, ETL/ELT, or modern application architectures.
• Experience working on large enterprise transformation programs.
