About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Linux BSP / Embedded Linux Engineer to develop and maintain embedded firmware for our next-generation Video Doorbells and Video Door Locks. The role involves embedded Linux development, board bring-up, camera and audio integration, local video recording, network-based video streaming, and cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate should have practical experience with Linux BSPs, kernel configuration, device drivers, and hardware–software integration, along with the ability to debug and optimize embedded systems for production-ready products.

Key Responsibilities
1. Linux BSP & Board Bring-Up
• Configure, build, customize, and maintain Linux BSPs, bootloaders, device trees, and Linux kernels.
• Perform board bring-up, peripheral configuration, and hardware–software integration. 2. Camera Integration




• Integrate camera sensors and interfaces such as MIPI CSI-2, DVP, or USB.
• Configure and debug camera drivers, video capture pipelines, and related hardware interfaces. 3. Audio Integration
• Integrate microphones, speakers, audio codecs, and interfaces such as I2S or USB.
• Support two-way audio communication and troubleshoot audio integration issues. 4. Video Streaming & Multimedia
• Implement and debug video streaming over Wi-Fi and Ethernet using technologies such as RTSP and WebRTC.
• Work with V4L2, GStreamer, FFmpeg, or platform-specific multimedia frameworks for video and audio processing. 5. Local Video Storage
• Implement video recording and playback using SD cards or other storage media.
• Handle file systems, storage reliability, and recording performance. 6. Network & Cloud Connectivity
• Integrate MQTT-based communication for device commands, status reporting, events, and IoT functionality.
• Debug TCP/IP, socket communication, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity issues. 7. Debugging, Optimization & Reliability
• Debug boot issues, kernel logs, device drivers, peripheral interfaces, memory usage, and system performance.
• Implement watchdog mechanisms, recovery procedures, and OTA firmware updates.
