Role Description The SAT Math Tutor is a full-time remote role focused on delivering high-quality, one-on-one online instruction to students preparing for the SAT exam. Responsibilities include planning and conducting engaging math tutoring sessions, with an emphasis on algebra, problem-solving, and SAT-specific test strategies. The tutor will assess student strengths and areas for improvement, tailor lesson plans accordingly, assign practice work, and monitor progress over time. The role involves providing clear explanations, addressing student questions,



and offering constructive feedback to build confidence and improve scores. The tutor may also collaborate with WONK’s support team to schedule sessions, share updates with parents or guardians, and contribute to continuous improvement of tutoring methods and materials. Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Mathematics, including Algebra and SAT-level quantitative reasoning; ability to break down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps.
• Experience in Online Tutoring and Tutoring, with a track record of effective one-on-one coaching in a virtual environment.
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written explanations and the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
• Prior experience preparing students for standardized tests (SAT or similar) is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or a related quantitative field preferred.
• Comfort with digital tools, online classroom platforms, and maintaining professional conduct in remote settings.
• Solid organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage a consistent full-time tutoring schedule.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success, patience, and a learner-centered approach.
