Role Description The Steward role at Gnosis Food Ventures is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The steward will assist with daily food service operations, including setting up dining areas, replenishing supplies, and supporting serving staff as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of service areas, handling dishwashing and basic cleaning tasks, and ensuring that hygiene and safety standards are followed at all times. The steward will interact with guests courteously, respond to simple requests, and coordinate with the kitchen and service team to support smooth operations during peak hours.
The role involves working in shifts, standing for extended periods, and following instructions from supervisors to achieve consistent service quality. Qualifications
• Solid Customer Service and Communication skills to interact respectfully and professionally with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, including basic hygiene, serving protocols, and handling of equipment.
• Ability to participate in Training activities and apply standard operating procedures in day-to-day work.
• Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is beneficial.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, with reliability and punctuality.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions and record simple information.
• Attention to detail, willingness to perform physical tasks, and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
