8+ years Immediate Joiners only We are seeking a hands-on Adobe Workfront Engineer at the SAL2 level to translate defined business processes and solution designs into scalable, production-ready Workfront configurations. The role is centered on independently configuring end-to-end workflows and implementing supported out-of-the-box (OOTB) or native integrations across the Adobe ecosystem. The successful candidate will own assigned work from requirements interpretation through configuration, testing, defect resolution, documentation, and deployment. The engineer must also recognize when a requirement exceeds native Workfront capabilities and requires Workfront Fusion, APIs, webhooks, or specialist integration support.
Key Responsibilities
Adobe Workfront Configuration and Engineering
• Independently translate approved business processes, user stories, and functional requirements into working Adobe Workfront configurations.
• Configure projects, tasks, programs, portfolios, templates, milestones, statuses, calendars, users, teams, groups, job roles, and access controls.
• Build reusable project and workflow templates that promote consistent execution across teams.
• Configure custom forms, fields, metadata structures, views, filters, groupings, reports, and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot configuration, permissions, routing, reporting, notification, and user-access issues.
• Apply configuration standards and avoid unnecessary customization or operational overhead. Workflow Implementation
• Configure end-to-end workflows covering intake, planning, assignment, execution, review, approval, delivery, and closure.
• Implement request queues, queue topics, routing rules, task dependencies, milestones, assignments, approvals, notifications, and workflow statuses.
• Convert process maps and functional designs into executable Workfront workflows with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Validate workflow behavior across user roles, teams, business scenarios, and exception paths.
• Identify whether requirements can be fulfilled through native Workfront functionality or need additional automation or integration.
• Participate in design discussions and provide implementation-level recommendations based on Workfront platform capabilities. OOTB and Native Integrations A key expectation is the ability to independently configure, validate, and support Workfront native integrations, including relevant integrations with:
• Adobe Experience Manager Assets / AEM DAM
• Frame.io
• Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Other supported Adobe Workfront native connectors applicable to the client environment
• Configure native integrations in accordance with approved functional and technical designs.
• Configure supporting Workfront metadata, object relationships, permissions, and mappings required by the integration.
• Validate the exchange or availability of assets, assignments, project information, and workflow data across connected applications.
• Perform functional and integration testing and independently troubleshoot configuration or connectivity issues.
• Document configuration settings, dependencies, assumptions, limitations, and operational support requirements.
• Escalate requirements that cannot be achieved through native capabilities and require Fusion, APIs, webhooks, or custom engineering. Workfront Fusion and Integration Awareness
• Understand when workflow requirements exceed native Workfront functionality.
• Support straightforward Workfront Fusion scenarios where appropriate and within the approved design.
• Work effectively with integration architects and specialists on complex automation or bespoke integrations.
• Understand common REST API, webhook, JSON, authentication, error-handling, and integration troubleshooting concepts.
• Diagnose issues across the boundary between Workfront configuration and downstream integration logic. Testing, Deployment, and Quality
• Develop configuration-level test scenarios from functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct unit, functional, workflow, role/access, regression, and integration testing.
• Support user acceptance testing, triage defects, and implement configuration fixes.
• Prepare deployment checklists and validate configurations after release.
• Assist with production stabilization and resolve configuration-related incidents. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
• Maintain configuration documentation for workflows, templates, custom forms, queues, approvals, dashboards, security, and integrations.
• Create configuration inventories, mapping documents, test evidence, release notes,
and support handover materials.
• Provide knowledge transfer to client Workfront administrators, product owners, and support teams.
• Clearly document risks, assumptions, dependencies, known limitations, and escalation points. Required Experience and Skills
• Demonstrable hands-on experience configuring Adobe Workfront in an enterprise workplace.
• Ability to independently configure end-to-end Workfront workflows without continuous guidance from senior architects.
• Strong knowledge of projects, templates, tasks, dependencies, programs, portfolios, request queues, custom forms, statuses, approvals, notifications, reports, dashboards, users, groups, teams, job roles, and access controls.
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting Workfront OOTB/native integrations.
• Experience translating process and functional requirements into maintainable Workfront configuration.
• Ability to troubleshoot workflow, permissions, reporting, notification, and integration issues.
• Experience supporting testing, UAT, defect remediation, deployment, and production stabilization.
• Strong written documentation and stakeholder communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating Adobe Workfront with AEM Assets / AEM DAM.
• Experience with Frame.io and Adobe Creative Cloud integrations.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Workfront Fusion.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication, monitoring, and error handling.
• Experience with enterprise marketing operations, creative operations, or content supply-chain workflows.
• Adobe Workfront certification or other relevant Adobe credential. Success Profile
• Consistently delivers complete and supportable Workfront configurations from approved requirements.
• Uses native platform capabilities first and avoids unnecessary complexity.
• Independently resolves common configuration and OOTB integration issues.
• Produces clear test evidence and implementation documentation.
• Escalates architecture, Fusion, API, or custom-integration needs early and with sufficient technical context. Role Boundaries
• Primary: hands-on Adobe Workfront configuration and workflow implementation.
• Primary: OOTB/native integration configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Secondary: Workfront Fusion and API awareness; support for straightforward automation where appropriate.
• Contributing: solution-design workshops, estimation, UAT, deployment, and production stabilization.
