About WeRize Founded in 2019 by Vishal Chopra and Himanshu Gupta, WeRize is building India’s largest full stack fintechplatform for 500 million underserved middle-class customers who live in 5000+ small towns of India. While customers in these geographies use smartphones, they need properguidance and support when purchasing the right financial products for themselves. So, a pure digital model doesn’t work for this segment. WeRize has innovated on this front through its ‘Finance ki online dukaan (Social Shopify of Finance)’, a first of its kind social distribution tech platform in the financial services space that educates and enables local financially literate freelancers across these small towns to source business through online and offline channels, recommend the right financial product(s) to customers as well as provide after sales support.
These freelancers, who are located in more than 5000+ towns and cities, earn as much as INR 30,000 a month from WeRize in commissions.



Our social distribution platform supported by financially literatefreelancers means exceptionally low cost of customer acquisition (CAC) and operations costs compared to both fully digital and on-the-ground financial services providers. Digital conversions among this target group are way lower when comparedto upper income customers in metros and hence pure digital CAC doesn’t workfor this segment. While companies like LIC and Fino Bank also rely on freelancer distribution, they deploy local on-fieldteams/branches to manage freelancers in every city. That resultsin very high CAC and operations costs for such companies. WeRize on the other hand, has been able to acquire, train and manage thousandsof freelancers in 5000+ citiesonly through its tech platform and without any feet-on-street team of its own. About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own the complete hybrid mobile stack—spanning React/TypeScript web apps, React Native shells, and native Android code. You will spend roughly 60% of your time on React/React Native and 40% on native Android development.

Key Responsibilities
• Feature Development & Architecture: Build and maintain features across React (TypeScript), React Native, and native Android. Design robust, secure messaging bridges between web and native components.




• Native Development & WebView: Write Kotlin native modules (camera, permissions, storage) and configure/harden WebViews (sessions, security allowlisting, file choosers).
• SDK Integrations & Performance: Integrate, wrap, and maintain third-party native SDKs. Optimize load times, app startup, bundle sizes, crash rates, and performance on low-end devices.
• CI/CD & Quality: Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins, signing, Play Store releases), write tests (Jest/JUnit), review code, and maintain high standards for security and observability. Requirements (Must Have)

Experience:
3–5 years in frontend/mobile tech, with at least 1 Android app published on the Google Play Store.
• React & Web: Robust proficiency in React, TypeScript, hooks, state management, and responsive UI performance for low-end devices.
• React Native & Bridges: Hands-on experience with react-native-webview, custom native modules, and bidirectional JS-to-native messaging.
• Native Android: Solid Kotlin skills, Android SDK, lifecycle management, WebView configurations, Gradle, and debugging tools (Logcat, chrome://inspect).
• SDKs & DevOps: Experience integrating third-party SDKs (handling ProGuard/R8 conflicts) and working with mobile CI/CD pipelines, build variants, and app signing. Good to Have
• Background in fintech (KYC, payments, lending workflows) or familiarity with RBI compliance and Play Store financial app policies.
• Expertise in mobile security (certificate pinning, root detection, JS bridge hardening).
• Advanced profiling/observability skills (Perfetto, Android Profiler, Crashlytics, Sentry) and automated release tools (Fastlane).
• Exposure to React Native New Architecture (TurboModules, JSI) or Jetpack Compose.
