About the Role
PhysicsWallah (PW) is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and scale our QA function for high-impact, large-scale B2C products used by millions of learners across India. The role requires a strong combination of QA leadership, test automation, web and mobile testing expertise, and quality engineering practices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks, strong expertise in Selenium with Java and Appium, and the ability to build scalable QA processes across web and mobile platforms. Exposure to AI-driven testing and emerging quality engineering practices will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the QA team, ensuring high-quality and reliable releases across web and mobile platforms.
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and scalable QA processes for large-scale applications.
• Drive the adoption and expansion of test automation using Selenium, Playwright, and other modern automation frameworks.
• Own and strengthen mobile testing practices, including automation using Appium.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive shift-left testing practices to identify defects early, improve release velocity, and reduce production issues.
• Establish and track key quality metrics, including test coverage, defect leakage, automation coverage, and release stability.
• Ensure effective execution of functional, regression, integration, API, mobile, and performance testing.
• Identify release risks and implement risk-based testing strategies to ensure production readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools,



frameworks, and engineering practices.
• Mentor and develop QA engineers, building a strong automation-first and quality-focused culture.
• Explore and adopt AI-powered testing tools and approaches to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and overall quality. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience
• 8–15 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience leading QA teams and managing end-to-end testing for large-scale products.
• Experience working in product-based or high-growth B2C environments is preferred.
• Strong experience in defining QA strategy, processes, and quality standards. Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation using Selenium and Java.
• Experience with Playwright or other contemporary web automation frameworks.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience in mobile application testing and automation using Appium.
• Strong experience in API testing and automation.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of test architecture, test strategy, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
• Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Exposure to performance and security testing is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools and practices is a plus. What We're Looking For
