Role & responsibilities
- Manage procurement of Perishable and Non Perishable raw materials.
- Source new vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Handle vendor negotiations, pricing, and commercial discussions.
- Source food products including gourmet, specialty, imported items, sauces, and staples.
- Monitor market prices, supplier performance, and product availability.
- Identify cost saving and new sourcing opportunities.
- Conduct market benchmarking and track pricing trends.
- Work with internal teams to ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted supply.
- Maintain procurement data and reports using Excel.
- Lead the category team and ensure smooth procurement operations. Preferred candidate profile
- 6+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Purchase.
- Relevant experience in Perishable, Non Perishable,
and Packaging categories, preferably within FMCG, Food Processing, or Food & Beverage.
- Strong vendor and supplier network with experience in sourcing and supplier development.
- Good experience in vendor negotiations, commercial discussions, and cost optimization.
- Solid understanding of market pricing, benchmarking, and procurement trends.
- Experience in improving margins and managing multiple product categories.
- Previous experience in leading or managing a procurement or category team.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with good knowledge of Excel and procurement reporting.
- Candidates who can work from the Udyog Vihar, Gurugram office are preferred.
