About the Role
VGS Industries is looking for a junior Mould Design Engineer with hands-on knowledge of Siemens NX and basic understanding of plastic injection mould design. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of an experienced mould designer and tool-room professional and will be developed through live mould design, manufacturing and trial activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Create and modify 3D injection mould designs, assemblies, cores, cavities, inserts and mould components using Siemens NX.
· Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances and relevant specifications.
· Support development of parting lines/surfaces, core-cavity layouts, ejector arrangements, cooling, sliders and lifters under senior guidance.
· Modify existing mould designs based on inputs from Tool Room, Production, Quality and Engineering.
· Coordinate with tool-room personnel to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
· Support mould manufacturing, assembly, trials and post-trial design corrections.
· Maintain drawing revisions, design records and related documentation. Required Qualification & Experience Qualification: Diploma / B.
Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Plastic Engineering or related discipline

Experience:
1-3 years Must-have Skills
· Hands-on working knowledge of Siemens NX / NX CAD.




· Basic practical understanding of plastic injection mould design and mould construction.
· Good understanding of 3D modelling, assemblies and 2D engineering drawings.
· Understanding of dimensions, tolerances and basic tool-room machining processes.
· Willingness to learn under an experienced designer/tool maker and develop into an independent mould designer. Preferred / Added Advantage
· Exposure to injection moulding or a tool-room environment.
· Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC, EDM, wire-cut, milling or related processes.
