Mumbai

Designation -Assistant General Manager (AGM) Procurement Department -Supply Chain Reporting To -CEO Work Location -Mumbai Dadar Experience - 9 to 18 Years Industry Preferred -EPC / Renewable Energy (Solar) / Infrastructure / EV Charging Networks / Heavy Engineering About Energy in Motion Ltd. (EIM) Energy in Motion Ltd. (EIM) is a joint venture between JM Baxi Group and Ravindra Energy Limited, headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. EIM is building an integrated clean-energy and mobility ecosystem, with a strong strategic focus on EPC execution of solar power projects and the design, rollout, and expansion of its proprietary EV charging network across India, alongside its EV heavy truck manufacturing business. Role Summary - The AGM Procurement will be a key leadership hire responsible for sourcing, vendor development, and contract execution for civil and electrical infrastructure packages that underpin EIMs EPC solar project pipeline and EV charging network build-out, along with related capital projects. This is fundamentally a leadership role: the incumbent will set procurement strategy, build and mentor a high-performing team, and be a trusted decision-maker on critical network and site-development calls backed by strong technical grounding in civil and electrical scope, and sharp commercial and negotiation judgment in a quick-scaling, high-ownership environment. The role will work closely with the CEO – Ravindra Energy Limited.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on leadership for end-to-end procurement strategy across EPC solar project packages (solar EPC contracts, mounting structures, inverters, cabling, BOS components) and civil/electrical works for the EV charging station network (site development,

substation works, HT/LT panels, switchgear, transformers) and associated capital projects.
- Own key network expansion decisions — site prioritization, vendor allocation, and technical trade-offs — acting as the primary decision-maker on procurement matters affecting the charging network roll-out timeline.
- Build, lead, and develop a capable procurement team; set direction, delegate effectively, and raise the bar on decision quality and accountability across the function.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage a vendor/contractor base spanning solar EPC contractors, civil contractors, electrical vendors, and equipment suppliers.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/tenders, lead techno-commercial evaluation, and drive negotiations to secure cost, quality, and delivery outcomes on solar and network infrastructure packages.
- Draft, review, and finalize contracts, work orders, and purchase orders in coordination with Legal and Finance teams.
- Partner with Projects, Engineering, and Site teams to align procurement schedules with EPC solar project timelines, network roll-out plans, and capex commitments.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality compliance, and adherence to statutory/safety norms across solar, civil, and electrical works.

- Track and control procurement budgets; proactively identify cost-optimization opportunities across the solar and network infrastructure portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Take ownership of escalations related to material delays, quality issues, or contractual disputes, exercising sound judgment under pressure.
- Present procurement strategy, network decisions, and status dashboards directly to senior leadership. Desired Candidate Profile
- 9–18 years of experience in procurement/sourcing, with meaningful exposure to EPC solar projects and/or EV charging network infrastructure; manufacturing plant procurement experience is a plus but not the primary focus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience — has led or mentored a team, and is comfortable being the accountable decision-maker on high-value, time-sensitive network and site infrastructure calls.
- Strong technical understanding of solar EPC scope (modules, inverters, BOS), electrical panels (MCC/PMCC/HT/LT), substation works, and charging infrastructure procurement; civil BOQ knowledge is an added advantage.
- Proven track record of vendor development, contract negotiation, and cost management on large-value infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Bachelor's degree in civil/electrical engineering; MBA or PG diploma in Supply Chain/Materials Management preferred.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the confidence to drive decisions independently.
- Willingness to be based out of Navi Mumbai for plant/site engagement, with regular coordination from the Mumbai (Dadar) office.
