Position: Plant Operations Manager

Pune, Maharashtra Industry: Manufacturing / Water Treatment & Water Management Products Reporting to: Senior Management Position Overview Our client is a growing manufacturing organisation operating in the water-treatment and water-management products sector. The company has a lean and entrepreneurial structure and is looking for a hands-on Plant Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations. This is primarily an operational and manufacturing role and does not carry independent P&L; responsibility. The focus will be on production, productivity, quality, delivery, people management and overall plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day plant operations and ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Manage production manpower, shift planning and shop-floor discipline.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, capacity utilisation and reduction of manufacturing losses.
- Manage and improve Injection Moulding operations, including machine utilisation, cycle times, rejection, productivity and process parameters.




- Ensure effective utilisation and maintenance of moulding machines, moulds, tools and related equipment.
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and other functions to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor rejection, rework, downtime and material wastage and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and monitor production MIS and operational reports for senior management.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
- Manage and develop the plant team and establish a culture of accountability and productivity.
- Support current product introduction, process improvements and manufacturing scale-up.
- Graduate / Diploma / Engineering qualification, preferably in Mechanical, Production, Plastics or a related discipline.
- 1215 years of relevant manufacturing / plant operations experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Injection Moulding / plastics manufacturing.
