About the Role
Vidya Niketan School is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated Science Teacher specializing in Biology and Chemistry to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, good classroom management skills, and the ability to make Science concepts practical, engaging and easy to understand for students. Experience with the CBSE curriculum will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach Biology and Chemistry to students as per the prescribed CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured classroom lessons.
- Explain scientific concepts using practical examples, activities, experiments and demonstrations.
- Conduct and supervise laboratory activities while maintaining proper safety standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and revision materials.
- Regularly assess students through class tests, assignments, practical work and examinations.
- Identify students who need additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
- Help high-performing students prepare for competitive and board-level examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and academic progress.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress effectively.
- Contribute to school activities, academic events, exhibitions, science fairs and other co-curricular programmes.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and the academic team to improve student learning outcomes.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive,



respectful and stimulating classroom environment. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science/Biology/Chemistry from a recognized university.
- B.
Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong command over Biology and/or Chemistry.
- Positive communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to teach according to the CBSE curriculum.
- Candidates with previous experience in a CBSE school will be preferred.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and strong communication skills may also be considered. Preferred Experience
- 2–5+ years of teaching experience preferred.
- Experience teaching secondary/senior secondary classes will be an advantage.
- Experience preparing students for CBSE Board examinations will be highly valued.
- Candidates who can effectively handle both theory and practical/laboratory classes are preferred.
