About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Banking & Finance Partner to lead and strengthen the Banking & Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience advising banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, corporates, funds, and other financial-sector clients on complex financing transactions, regulatory matters, and financial documentation. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a lawyer who can independently manage sophisticated transactions, advise clients at a strategic level, lead teams, and contribute significantly to business development and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advise on complex banking and finance transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, structured finance, acquisition finance, project finance, debt financing and refinancing.
- Draft, review and negotiate financing and security documentation including facility agreements, loan agreements, security documents, guarantees, undertakings, term sheets and inter-creditor arrangements.
- Advise banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, corporates, investors and other stakeholders on financing structures and transaction risks.
- Provide legal and regulatory advice relating to RBI regulations, banking laws, financial services regulations and applicable corporate laws.
- Handle due diligence, transaction structuring, documentation and closing of financing transactions.
- Advise clients on security creation, enforcement, restructuring, recovery and other lender-side and borrower-side matters.
- Manage negotiations with counterparties, lenders, borrowers, investors and external stakeholders.




- Lead and mentor associates and junior lawyers within the Banking & Finance practice.
- Take ownership of client relationships and provide commercially practical legal solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for new business.
- Participate actively in business development, pitches, client meetings, networking and practice-building initiatives.

B. from a reputed law school.
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance / Financial Services law.
- Strong experience with a reputed law firm, financial institution, bank, NBFC or established corporate legal practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in banking and finance transactions and documentation.
- Strong understanding of RBI regulations, Companies Act, SARFAESI, insolvency framework and other applicable financial-sector regulations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and legal advisory skills.
- Solid commercial understanding and ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice.
- Proven ability to independently manage transactions and client relationships.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.




- Existing client relationships and a demonstrable business development track record will be highly valued. What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in senior lawyers who are:
