5+ years preferred in Earthmoving / Construction Equipment Spare Parts Procurement UVS Parts is an export-oriented company dealing in JCB, OEM and high-quality aftermarket earthmoving and construction equipment spare parts and lubricants for international markets. We are looking for an experienced Purchase Head who can take ownership of our complete procurement function and, most importantly, brings strong existing knowledge and relationships with reliable suppliers/vendors of earthmoving machinery spare parts in India. Role Overview: The Purchase Head will be responsible for developing and managing a strong supplier network for export-quality earthmoving spare parts. The ideal candidate should already understand the Indian spare-parts market and know where and from whom different categories of earthmoving machine parts can be sourced at competitive prices without compromising on quality. This is a hands-on procurement role requiring strong vendor knowledge, market intelligence, negotiation skills, product knowledge and quality awareness.

Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Network & Supplier Development
- Identify, develop and maintain a strong network of reliable vendors and manufacturers across India.
- Have good knowledge of suppliers dealing in JCB, CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, Hyundai, Tata Hitachi, CASE, Mahindra Construction Equipment and other earthmoving/construction equipment parts.
- Identify the right supplier for different product categories, part numbers and machine models.
- Develop alternative suppliers to avoid dependency on a single vendor.
- Continuously expand UVS's approved vendor base. 2. Earthmoving Spare Parts Procurement Source a wide range of products including, but not limited to:
- Engine parts
- Hydraulic components and parts
- Transmission parts
- Differential and axle components
- Final drive components
- Undercarriage parts
- Electrical and electrical components
- Filters
- Seals and O-rings
- Gaskets and gasket kits
- Bushes and pins
- Bearings
- Brake components
- Clutch components
- Steering components
- Fuel system components
- Cooling system components
- Radiator and cooling parts
- Alternator and starter components
- Hydraulic seals and kits
- Cylinder repair kits
- Bucket and loader parts
- Wear parts
- Rubber components
- Lubricants and related products
- Other OEM and aftermarket replacement parts 3.



Part Number & Product Identification
- Understand and work confidently with OEM part numbers, cross-reference numbers, replacement numbers and aftermarket equivalents.
- Identify suitable alternatives when the exact part is unavailable.
- Verify compatibility between part numbers, machine models and applications.
- Coordinate with the sales team to source difficult-to-find or obsolete parts. 4. Export-Quality Procurement UVS supplies customers internationally, therefore quality is critical. The Purchase Head must be able to differentiate between:
- Low-grade aftermarket products
- Standard aftermarket products
- Premium aftermarket products
- OEM-quality products
- Genuine/OEM products The candidate should have the ability to evaluate suppliers based on material quality, manufacturing standards, packaging, fitment, reliability, warranty/claim history and consistency of supply. 5. Pricing & Negotiation
- Negotiate the best purchase prices, payment terms and commercial conditions.
- Obtain competitive quotations from multiple vendors.
- Analyse market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate bulk purchase rates and long-term supplier arrangements.
- Maintain healthy margins for export business while ensuring product quality. 6. Purchase Planning & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate procurement according to customer orders and expected demand.
- Plan purchases based on sales requirements, stock levels and lead times.
- Ensure timely availability of fast-moving and critical parts.
- Avoid unnecessary overstocking and dead inventory.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, sales and management teams. 7. Supplier Quality & Performance Management
- Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, delivery time, consistency and service.
- Maintain supplier performance records.
- Address quality issues, shortages, wrong parts and delayed deliveries.
- Develop long-term relationships with dependable suppliers.
- Conduct periodic vendor evaluation and supplier rationalisation. Candidate RequirementsMust-Have
- Strong experience in earthmoving/construction equipment spare-parts procurement.
- Strong knowledge of the Indian earthmoving spare-parts market.
- Existing knowledge/network of manufacturers, distributors,



wholesalers and aftermarket suppliers.
- Ability to identify the right supplier for specific earthmoving spare parts.
- Good understanding of JCB and other major earthmoving machine parts.
- Ability to understand and cross-reference part numbers.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Ability to assess supplier quality and reliability.
- Good understanding of export-quality requirements.
- Robust communication and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of procurement. Preferred: Candidates with experience in procurement for earthmoving machinery spare-parts exporters, dealers, manufacturers, distributors or large aftermarket businesses will be preferred. Experience with JCB parts and a broader range of construction equipment brands will be an added advantage. What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who can say: “Give me the part number/product requirement, and I know which suppliers in India can provide it, what quality levels are available, what the market price should be, and which vendor can consistently supply export-quality material.” The person joining this position should bring market knowledge, supplier relationships and procurement intelligence, not simply purchasing experience. Salary:
Competitive, based on experience and existing vendor network. For the right candidate, UVS is open to a performance-based incentive structure linked to procurement savings, supplier development, quality and business performance. Important Note This position is not suitable for candidates with only general purchase/procurement experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience and established market knowledge in earthmoving/construction equipment spare parts and can immediately contribute through their supplier network and industry relationships. Pay: ₹17,000.00
