Automotive / Vehicle Maintenance Executive

About the Role

Ooms India is looking for an experienced Automotive Maintenance professional with strong practical knowledge of trucks, tankers, and heavy commercial vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown handling, and field-level maintenance coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance of trucks, tankers, and other commercial vehicles.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle-related mechanical faults and coordinate timely repairs.

• Inspect engines, gearboxes, clutches, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, batteries, and hydraulic systems.

• Handle vehicle breakdowns at field locations and coordinate emergency repair support.

• Monitor vehicle servicing schedules, fitness, roadworthiness, and overall vehicle condition.

• Coordinate with drivers, workshops, mechanics, and service centres for vehicle repairs and maintenance.

• Maintain vehicle-wise maintenance records, service history,



repair costs, and breakdown reports.

• Identify recurring vehicle issues and recommend corrective actions to reduce downtime and maintenance expenses.

• Ensure vehicles comply with applicable safety requirements and operational standards.

• Travel to field locations as required for vehicle inspections, breakdown assistance, and maintenance supervision.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Tech / ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.

• 5 + years of relevant experience in truck, tanker, or heavy commercial vehicle maintenance.

• Solid hands-on knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle servicing, and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, and workshop coordination.

• Good coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel to field locations as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with hands-on experience in truck and heavy commercial vehicle maintenance, particularly in fleet operations, transportation, or logistics companies, will be preferred.
