Job Title: Safety Officer
Job Location: Manapparai, Tamil Nadu (6 Months training @ Chennai/Vellore/Andhra)
Education: Degree in industrial safety
Experience: 4-9 years
Role & responsibilities
- Handle construction site safety initially, and plant safety once construction is completed, and monitor safety systems.
- Conduct risk assessments such as HIRA, HAZOP and JSA for construction activities and, later, plant operations.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Manage contractor safety at site.
- Handle emergency preparedness and incident investigation.
- Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
- Maintain safety reports and documentation.
Work Workplace
- Greenfield, project-based role at Manapparai,
moving into plant operations after construction.
- Regular interaction with the production and projects teams and with contractors.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong hands-on safety experience at chemical, manufacturing or project sites.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA, ISO and Tamil Nadu rules.
- Experience in risk assessment (HIRA, HAZOP, JSA) and incident investigation.
- Comfortable with field work and handling contractors.
