Hiring: Senior Engineer Engine Development

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Development Engineer with hands-on experience in engine development, testing, component validation, and failure analysis within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct design analysis and prepare FMEA/DFMEA documentation.
- Prepare Design Verification Plans (DVP) and execute validation activities.
- Prepare engine build sheets based on project stages and monitor build control.
- Ensure quality during engine builds and DVP execution.
- Perform failure analysis, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing plants and resolve field-related issues.




- Take ownership of assigned engine components or systems and ensure performance, reliability, and durability requirements are met.
- Mandatory Skills

- Hands-on experience in engine development and testing.
- Solid knowledge of engine components and systems.
- Experience in DFMEA/FMEA and DVP preparation and execution.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and strength of materials.
- Proficiency in failure analysis and root-cause analysis techniques, including 8D and Ishikawa.
- Experience & Qualifications

- 3–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in engine development and testing.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in automotive OEMs, engine manufacturers, or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required.
