Job Description / Responsibilities

- Supervise daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems
- Monitor plant performance, water quality, chemical dosing and operating parameters
- Lead operators and technicians in routine inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot pumps, valves, piping, filters, treatment equipment and instrumentation
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs and contractor activities
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental requirements and Permit-to-Work (PTW)
- Maintain operating records, chemical inventory, maintenance reports and plant documentation
- Recommend improvements to plant performance and reliability
- Review MSJSA (Method Statement and Job Safety Analysis)





Desired profile of the candidate

- Minimum 5 years in operating water or wastewater treatment plants (industrial or municipal), including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Good knowledge of clarification, filtration, RO, biological treatment, sludge handling and chemical dosing
- Hands-on troubleshooting of pumps, valves, piping, filters and instrumentation
- Familiar with PTW systems, MSJSA review and workplace safety and environmental regulations
- Able to prepare operating logs, maintenance records and technical reports
- Solid leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work shifts and respond to plant emergencies
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Safety Orientation Course, Basic Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator training) are an advantage
