Summary

The Embedded System Manager will be responsible for the integration and validation of embedded computing, actuator, RF communication, and mobility systems for quadruped robots. The role covers NVIDIA Jetson AGX platforms, Actuators, Controllers, Sensors, communication networks, and mobility controls. It ensures reliable locomotion, terrain

adaptability, remote operation, telemetry, system safety, and defence-grade performance through system architecture, subsystem integration, field testing, supplier coordination, fault resolution, configuration control, and final acceptance.

Role & responsibilities

- Lead architecture, integration, and validation of embedded systems, actuators, RF communication, and mobility systems for quadruped robots.
- Integrate NVIDIA Jetson AGX, sensors, actuators, autonomy modules, payloads, and control systems.
- Configure and optimize EtherCAT communication (PDOs, SDOs, ESI, Distributed Clocks).
- Manage onboard networks including Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, EtherCAT, UART, USB, Wi-Fi, and cellular.
- Validate robot mobility, performance, stability, terrain adaptability, and payload capabilities.
- Develop real-time embedded software in C/C++ on Linux-based robotic platforms.
- Optimize Linux kernels with PREEMPT_RT for low-latency deterministic performance.




- Ensure system reliability through testing, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Oversee RF communication, telemetry, video transmission, and secure command & control systems.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, system documentation, testing, and final acceptance.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors/Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, Communication, or related field.
- 5–6 years of experience in embedded systems, robotics, autonomous platforms, industrial automation, or mechatronic product development.
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson AGX or similar edge-computing platforms, integrating actuators, sensors, controllers, and payloads.
- Robust knowledge of communication protocols: Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, EtherCAT, UART, RS-485, Wi-Fi, Cellular, and RF/Telemetry systems.
- Experience in actuator integration, joint control, quadruped mobility, gait execution, balance control, and terrain adaptability.
- Expertise in system integration, testing, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance validation.
- Experience in supplier coordination, configuration management, technical documentation, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
