- Hydraulic design of centrifugal and specialized pumps
- Perform CFD analysis and optimize performance (head, discharge, efficiency, NPSHr)
- Design pump components in SolidWorks (GD&T;, DFM/DFA, cost compliant)
- Support tooling, prototype testing and validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and resolve field issues
- Maintain design documentation and drive continuous improvements
Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product design and development (beyond CAD modeling/drafting)
- Good understanding of design considerations for various manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with CFD tools and workflows (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, or OpenFOAM)
- Solid fundamentals in fluid mechanics, turbomachinery, and pump hydraulics
- Good academic record
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and GD&T;
