- Source new vendors for home furnishing products, ensuring quality and competitive pricing.
- Identify and develop reliable manufacturers, mills and suppliers.
- Develop strong relationships with existing vendors to negotiate prices, improve product offerings, and resolve issues.
- Manage vendor development initiatives to enhance supplier performance and reduce costs.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms and commercial conditions.
- Coordinate product sampling and follow up on approvals.
- Ensure that fabric, colour, dimensions, stitching, finishing and packaging meet required standards.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Coordinate with the design, merchandising and quality teams.
- Resolve supplier, quality and delivery-related issues.
- Maintain accurate costing, sample, order and supplier records.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5-7 years of experience in Home Furnishing category management or similar role.
- Graduate or diploma holder in Textiles or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in sourcing or merchandising home furnishing products.
- Sound knowledge of fabrics, printing, dyeing, stitching, finishing and packaging processes.
- Established supplier contacts and robust negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and ERP or procurement systems.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations and manufacturing units as required.
