1. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & DESIGN

- Assist in the design, development, and integration of mechanical systems, electro-mechanical

systems, and internal structures for EV chargers using CAD tools (SolidWorks).

- Perform detailed engineering calculations for structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Optimize designs for reliability, thermal performance, manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA),

and cost eiciency.

- Research and propose appropriate materials for components based on performance,

environmental exposure, and cost considerations.

- Develop eective gasketing and sealing solutions to achieve the required IP rating.
- Ensure that mechanical designs meet required safety standards and performance

benchmarks

2.ENGINEERING CALCULATIONS & SIMULATIONS

- Conduct hand calculations for stress analysis, bolted joints, heat transfer, and fluid flow to

validate initial design concepts.

- Use FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to evaluate mechanical strength and impact

resistance.

- Analyse results and modify designs to improve reliability, reduce weight, and ensure structural

integrity.

- Design and assess thermal management systems, including heatsinks, ventilation solutions,

and thermally conductive materials.

- Validate engineering calculations with simulation results and physical tests.

3. PROTOTYPING & TESTING

- Collaborate with vendors on manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC

machining, injection moulding, and surface treatments.

- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors for prototype fabrication and testing.
- Ensure that parts meet dimensional and functional requirements during manufacturing.
- Analyse test results, compare them with simulation data,

and implement design improvements.

4. DOCUMENTATION & STANDARDS COMPLIANCE

- Document engineering processes, including design reports, engineering calculations, BOMs

(Bill of Materials), engineering & technical drawings, and test plans.

- Stay updated on new materials and technologies for enclosure design and thermal management.

5. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

- Work closely with electrical and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical

and electronic components.

- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional team meetings to contribute innovative ideas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the electronics, automotive, or

energy sector.
