Support the data engineering team by writing ingestion scripts, executing automated data tests, monitoring pipeline schedules, and maintaining BI reports on the Groups cloud data platform.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior data engineers in writing SQL and Python ingestion and transformation scripts.
- Execute automated data tests to support data quality.
- Monitor pipeline job schedules in Apache Airflow and escalate failures and delays.
- Maintain Looker reports and dashboards.
- Support data transformation tasks using dbt on Google BigQuery.
- Help investigate and resolve basic data ingestion issues under guidance.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team, learning and applying data engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in data engineering or a related technical area.
- Working proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Exposure to Google BigQuery, Apache Airflow, and dbt.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker.
- Foundational understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data quality concepts.
