What you'll be doing

- Build, maintain, and monitor automated data pipelines on the Groups cloud data platform, transforming raw transactional data into reporting schemas and developing BI dashboards to deliver reliable, analytics-ready data.
- Build, maintain, and monitor automated ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte on Google BigQuery or another MPP data warehouse, such as Snowflake.
- Transform raw transactional data into reporting schemas and curated data models using dbt and SQL, applying dimensional modeling.
- Optimize data warehouse performance through partitioning, clustering, and query optimization in BigQuery.
- Develop and maintain Looker BI dashboards (LookML) and Power BI reports for business stakeholders.
- Integrate data from a variety of source types, including e-commerce, POS, and ERP feeds, APIs, databases, and files, using tools such as Airbyte as well as custom-built integrations.
- Handle data ingestion incident resolution, monitoring pipeline jobs and ensuring reliability, uptime, and data freshness.
- Write clean, performant Python and SQL for ingestion, transformation, and data validation, and participate in code reviews and Git-based CI/CD workflows.




- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver analytics-ready data and support data quality checks.

What you'll need to succeed

- Minimum 3 years of experience building and operating data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in dbt for data transformation and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with Google BigQuery (partitioning, clustering, query optimization), orchestration (Apache Airflow), and ingestion tools (Airbyte).
- Hands-on experience with core cloud concepts and containerisation, including Docker and Kubernetes (e.g. GKE).
- Experience developing BI dashboards with Looker (LookML) and Power BI.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT development, data ingestion incident resolution, and BI and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for AI-assisted development.
