We are looking for a CAE Modelling Engineer with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in BETA CAE ANSA for finite element modelling and model preparation. The candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality FE models from CAD geometry, performing meshing, model integration, connection modelling, and quality checks for structural CAE simulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform geometry cleanup and simplification of CAD models using BETA CAE ANSA.
- Create 1D, 2D and 3D finite element meshes based on project and solver requirements.
- Perform midsurface extraction and shell meshing for sheet-metal and structural components.
- Carry out tetra and hexa meshing for solid components where required.
- Create and manage components, materials, properties, sets and load collectors.
- Perform FE model assembly and integration of individual components and subsystems.
- Model connections such as:
- Spot welds
- Seam welds
- Bolts
- Rigid connections
- Adhesive connections
- Contact interfaces
- Perform mesh quality checks including aspect ratio, skew, warpage, Jacobian, minimum/maximum length and other quality parameters.
- Correct mesh-quality issues and ensure models meet customer/project standards.
- Perform model checks for penetrations, intersections, free edges, duplicate elements and connectivity issues.
- Prepare solver-ready models for structural analysis.
- Work closely with CAE analysts and design engineers to resolve modelling and geometry-related issues.
- Maintain modelling documentation and follow defined CAE modelling guidelines.
