Unichem Laboratories Ltd. is looking for an experienced electrical engineering professional for its API manufacturing plant at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for electrical maintenance, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and ensuring secure and efficient plant operations.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Ensure the reliable operation of HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, MCC/PCC panels, DG sets, and associated electrical equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize plant downtime.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Utilities, Instrumentation, and other departments for smooth plant operations.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records and documentation.
- Support energy conservation and electrical system reliability initiatives.
- Coordinate with external agencies and contractors for maintenance and servicing activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP requirements, engineering SOPs, and plant safety procedures.
- Preferred candidate profile
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
- Experience in pharmaceutical/API manufacturing or a similar process industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and maintenance planning.
- Good coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
