Role Description

Frontend Engineer is responsible for managing Angular frontend application, including analysis, development, and administration. It will also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Work includes:

- Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
- Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
- Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
- Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability

Your key responsibilities

- As part of the cards team for Germany, you will actively participate in the design and development of solutions aligned to business goals
- You will be translating the business and functional requirements into a technical solution design
- You will be managing the implementation, jointly together with our vendors, supporting the testing activities and ensuring a handover into production and to the L2-Support.
- You will ensure that the solution designs are aligned to our technical platform modernization strategy.
- To ensure a reliable and maintainable production workplace, you will be the Subject Mater Expert as part of the L3 Support.
- In case of incidents and business requests, you will be actively involved in the incident and request analysis and drive the problem resolution.

Your skills and experience

- Hands-on experience with Angular 16 or later,



including component-based architecture, services, routing, forms, and dependency injection.
- Strong proficiency in RxJS and reactive programming concepts, including observables and operators.
- Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Strong command of semantic HTML and modern CSS/SCSS.
- Experience building responsive user interfaces with Bootstrap.
- Working knowledge of Node. js and NPM for dependency and build management.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit tests with Jasmine and Karma.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles, coding standards, debugging, and version-controlled development workflows.
- Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Familiar with Agile Team management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Pro-active team player with good communication skills as well as good English language skills.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM environment including agile tooling and methodology together with knowledge of cards.
- Bachelors degree from a college or university with an focus on IT or data evaluation and / or comparable qualified experience

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
