Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Testing Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a major focus on UI automation, Playwright framework development, API testing, and automation best practices.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications across multiple browsers.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation components.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, analyze, and report software defects with transparent reproduction steps.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute tests across different environments and analyze automation results.
- Perform API testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman or Playwright API testing.
- Implement effective test data management and reusable test utilities.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation standards and best practices.




- Troubleshoot test failures and identify whether failures are related to application defects, test scripts, or environments.
- Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and testing metrics.

Mandatory Skills

- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Strong TypeScript experience.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Playwright locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, and Page Object Model (POM).
- Experience with cross-browser and parallel test execution.
- Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
- Experience with API testing and REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
