About the Role

Sunbeam World School is looking for a result-oriented and enthusiastic PRT Mathematics Teacher who can build strong numerical foundations among primary school students. The ideal candidate will use concept-based instruction, practical examples, and technology-enabled teaching to develop students’ mathematical reasoning, accuracy, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver structured online Mathematics lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Teach fundamental concepts such as number systems, arithmetic operations, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurement, and basic problem-solving.
- Use digital manipulatives, visual demonstrations, real-life examples, and interactive activities to explain abstract concepts.
- Design curriculum-aligned lesson plans, practice exercises, worksheets, and formative assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and identify individual learning gaps through regular assessments.
- Provide remedial instruction and differentiated learning support to students with varying abilities.
- Encourage logical reasoning, mental mathematics, analytical thinking, and independent problem-solving.
- Maintain student assessment data, progress reports, and academic documentation.
- Collaborate with the academic team to review learning outcomes and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in virtual parent-teacher interactions, faculty meetings, and career development sessions.

Educational Qualifications





- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science with Mathematics, or a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. qualification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of primary-level Mathematics concepts and curriculum frameworks.
- Knowledge of competency-based learning and activity-based Mathematics instruction will be an advantage.

Experience

- 1–2 years of experience as a PRT Mathematics Teacher or in a similar primary teaching role.
- Experience in preparing assessments, tracking learning outcomes, and supporting students academically.
- Prior experience with online teaching or technology-enabled classrooms is desirable.

- Ability to explain mathematical concepts through step-by-step demonstrations.
- Proficiency in online teaching platforms, digital whiteboards, and interactive learning tools.

- A proactive approach to improving student performance and engagement.

Compensation & Work Setup

- Monthly Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹26,000, based on qualifications and experience.
- Work Arrangement: Fully remote.
- Working Schedule: As per the school's designated academic timetable.
- Technical Requirements: Laptop or desktop, webcam, microphone, and reliable high-speed internet connection.
