Job Description – VMC Machine Operator

Department: Production

Position: VMC Machine Operator

Experience: 2–7 Years

Education: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical

Machines: MAZAK, BFW, Haas – 3 Axis, 4 Axis & 5 Axis

Key Responsibilities

- Operate 3, 4 and 5-axis VMC machines as per production plan.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, tolerances and process sheets.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting, work offset and tool offset corrections.
- Operate MAZAK, BFW, Haas and similar CNC controls.
- Carry out first-piece and in-process inspection using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy, surface finish and quality.
- Monitor tool wear, coolant, machine condition and machining parameters.
- Achieve production targets while minimizing rejection, rework and machine downtime.




- Maintain production, inspection and traceability records accurately.
- Follow GMP, safety, 5S and ALCOA+ documentation requirements.
- Immediately report machine, tooling, drawing or quality-related abnormalities.

Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of CNC/VMC machining and tooling.
- Knowledge of G-code/M-code and basic CNC programming.
- Drawing reading and basic GD&T; knowledge.
- Experience with precision machining of SS, Titanium and Aluminium preferred.
- Ability to work in shifts and maintain strong quality discipline.
