Key responsibilities

Boiler operation

· Start, run and stop the thermic fluid heater

· Keep oil temperature and flow as needed by the plant

· Handle fuel feeding and burner/furnace

· Check expansion tank level, pumps and pressure

· Check safety cut-offs and relief valves every shift

· Watch for leaks, overheating and pump trips; report at once

· Fill the log book every hour

· Clean strainers, remove ash and soot

Electrical work

· Attend breakdowns: motors, pumps, panels, lighting

· Maintain panels, starters, VFDs and cables

· Maintain flameproof motors and fittings

· Check earthing and keep earth pit records

· Look after DG set and power panel

· Do routine maintenance of motors and panels

· Lock out equipment before maintenance work

· Follow all fire and electrical safety rules

Skills

· Thermic fluid heater operation

· Plant electrical maintenance

· Read electrical drawings and panel alarms

· Ready for rotating shifts, including nights

· Marathi/Hindi
