Role Description The VoIP Technician is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing VoIP and telephony systems for client organizations. Day-to-day tasks include configuring VoIP endpoints and PBX systems, monitoring call quality, and troubleshooting voice, telephony, and network-related issues. The role involves providing technical support to users, documenting incidents and resolutions, and collaborating with IT and network teams to ensure stable, secure voice communications.





The VoIP Technician will also assist in system upgrades, implementing best practices, and contributing to process improvements that enhance reliability and performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Voice over IP (VoIP) and Telephony, including experience with common VoIP platforms and call routing.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration, such as configuring routers, switches, and QoS for voice traffic.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Relevant experience with SIP protocols, PBX systems, softphones, and VoIP security best practices is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are required.
- Prior experience in IT support or telecommunications and certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
