Role Description The Video Editor Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting Laneway’s media and marketing initiatives. In this role, the intern will assist in editing and assembling video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and internal projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project objectives. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, applying basic color correction, trimming clips, adding transitions,



and incorporating motion graphics or text overlays as needed.

The intern will collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to refine concepts, adjust edits based on feedback, and prepare videos for various digital platforms and formats. The role may also involve basic graphic support and participation in brainstorming sessions to develop engaging visual content.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Video Production and Video Editing, including familiarity with common editing software.
- Ability to perform Video Color Grading and basic post-production adjustments to improve visual quality.
- Skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating simple animations, titles, and visual elements.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and an understanding of visual storytelling for digital and social media content.
- Basic knowledge of file formats, aspect ratios, and export settings for online platforms.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Current student or recent graduate in film, media, design, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Portfolio or sample work demonstrating video editing and motion graphics capabilities is highly beneficial.
