About the Company

Khageshvara Aviation Technology Private Limited is building indigenous unmanned eVTOL and VTOL aircraft platforms from India for defence, logistics, disaster response, and future advanced air mobility applications.

Our vision is to make sustainable aviation practical for high-payload, high-altitude, and mission-critical use cases where conventional mobility is slow, expensive, or unavailable.

We are working toward a future where aircraft can support medical logistics, defence mobility, emergency response, industrial operations, and eventually urban and regional air mobility. We are not assembling reference drones. We design, build, test, break, learn, and fly our own aircraft, with the goal of creating reliable Indian aviation systems that can scale from prototype to production.

About the Role

- This is a core engineering hire for the team that takes our aircraft from the bench to the air. The work is hands-on and execution-driven. It spans avionics integration, flight-controller setup and tuning, propulsion and power-system testing, ground-station operations, and the discipline of turning every flight into usable data.
- You will learn to own the aircraft as a flying system: the flight controller, sensors, propulsion, power distribution, telemetry and communication links, and the pre-flight, flight-test, and post-flight routines that keep a prototype programme safe and moving.
- This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable on the flight line as much as at the workbench, is methodical about test procedures and logs,

and wants to take responsibility for making prototypes fly reliably.

Key Responsibilities

- Integrate and configure flight controllers (PX4 / ArduPilot or equivalent), GNSS, IMUs, airspeed sensors, telemetry radios, and payload interfaces on multirotor, fixed-wing, and VTOL prototypes.
- Support propulsion and power-system work: motor, ESC, and propeller selection, thrust-stand testing, battery sizing and endurance estimation, wiring harness design, and power-budget tracking.
- Plan and execute bench tests, hover tests, and flight tests; prepare checklists, maintain flight logs, and capture flight data in a consistent, reviewable form.
- Analyse flight logs to tune control loops, diagnose vibration, EMI, link, and power issues, and feed findings back to the design, structures, and propulsion teams.
- Help build and maintain ground-control-station setups, mission planning workflows, failsafe configurations, and safety procedures for test operations.
- ·Keep accurate aircraft configuration records, component inventories, and build/test documentation so that every prototype is traceable and repeatable.

Candidate Profile

1. Strong fundamentals in flight mechanics, control systems, electronics, and embedded systems, with practical engineering judgement.
2. Working familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, Betaflight, or similar flight stacks,

and with ground-station tools such as QGroundControl or Mission Planner.
3. Comfortable with soldering, wiring harnesses, bench instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply), and basic fabrication and assembly.
4. Ability to work with flight-log analysis, telemetry data, and scripting in Python or MATLAB; exposure to MAVLink, ROS, or companion computers is a plus.
5. Background in Aerospace, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. B.Tech or M.Tech preferred.
6. Prior hands-on exposure to multirotors, fixed-wing UAVs, VTOLs, or drone competitions (SAE Aero Design, Aerothon, IMAV, or similar) is strongly preferred. A DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate is a plus but not required.

Solid plus: You have built, tuned, and flown something real. A college UAV, an FPV or racing drone, a fixed-wing platform you set up from scratch, or any project where you had to read a flight log to find out why the aircraft did not behave will count strongly.

What We Offer

- Competitive compensation aligned with the opportunity to experience an early senior engineering role, under the direct guidance of team experts.
- Hands-on ownership of real flying hardware across integration, testing, and flight operations, not just simulations or demonstrations.
- Direct involvement in flight-test campaigns, system-level engineering decisions, and the long-term direction of our aircraft programmes.

Who Can Apply We prefer candidates with B.Tech or M.Tech qualifications in a relevant discipline. However, a strong portfolio, demonstrated build-and-fly experience, and proven hands-on work may outweigh formal credentials.
