We are hiring a Telecom Engineer for a leading US-based financial services company. You will support and maintain a complex enterprise telecom environment that runs a 24x7 call centre and internal voice services. The work spans Avaya administration, performance monitoring, production troubleshooting, design and automation.

Shift and work mode

- US shift, aligned to Pacific Time (approx. 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM IST)
- Full-time, work from office
- On-call rotation

What you will do

- Support the telecom environment: Avaya Communication Manager and Session Managers, circuits, IVR, CMS, predictive dialer, call recording, and corporate voice and data hardware and software
- Install and configure telecom equipment; repair, reconfigure and test as needed
- Run daily, weekly and monthly health checks to find and fix issues before they hit service
- Monitor equipment,



report performance issues and outages, and assess workload and capacity
- Automate tasks with Ansible, Python and GitLab
- Carry out architecture reviews of new and existing telecom products and share technical analysis
- Handle adds, moves and changes, and remove leavers from systems
- Patch and back up all telecom systems
- Keep documentation, topology, equipment and circuit inventory current

What you need

- Bachelor's in an engineering discipline, or a telecom certification (Avaya preferred), or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as a Telecom Engineer, with solid voice or data communications experience including project work
- Robust Avaya Communication Manager and Session Manager skills, including trunk creation between devices
- Experience implementing and managing SBCs (Oracle, Avaya or similar)
- Dialing protocols: SIP, H.323 and E.164
- Linux and VMware
- Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases
- Automation with Ansible, Git and Python
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication; works well with internal teams and vendors

Good to have

- IVR implementation experience
- Outbound dialer campaign experience
- Ability to diagram and design telecom environments
- Cisco, AWS or Avaya certifications
