Mandatory skills:

- Candidate should possess hands on experience on Layer-1, algorithm design, implementation and optimization on DSP, ASSP Processors, FPGA platforms
- Should be specialized in system engineering aspects, design and evaluate complex algorithm in MATLAB/Python/C Environment.
- Should have in depth knowledge of 3GPP layer 1 specifications & Algorithms for 4G /NB-IoT/5G, ORAN Split definitions, Conformance Test Criterions
- Candidate should have deep understanding in using various lab equipment such as - signal generators, signal and spectrum analyzer, channel emulators.
- Good understanding of wireless communication fundamentals and its application in design.
- Understanding of 3GPP LTE PHY (36.211/212/213/214).

Desired skills:

- Familiar with any of these technologies OFDM, MIMO, Bea, MmformingMSE, Turbo/LDPC codes, Physical channels, CPRI/eCPRI interface.
- Should have work experience in eNodeB/gNodeB/UE L1 SW development. Familiar with any RAN Platform architecture, L1 Schedulers
- Positive debugging skills, log analysis and solving Field issues.
- Experience with TI Keystone subsystems (Navigator, QMSS, CPPI, SRIO, PCIe).
- Understanding of DPD, CFR, RF impairments, frequency/phase correction loops. Exposure to L1L2 frameworks, FAPI/nFAPI, O-RAN split-6/7.x. Experience with 5G NR PHY (LDPC/Polar, DMRS, resource mapping)
- Knowledge of accelerator offloading (Viterbi/Turbo/FFT accelerators where applicable).

Responsibilities

The Staff Engineer will drive the technical direction, development, and sustenance of network functions and platform components for the Wireless team. This role combines deep technical contribution, architectural leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-quality product delivery. The Staff Engineer will lead complex technical initiatives, coordinate execution across multiple software subsystems, resolve critical engineering challenges, and contribute to strategic technology and product decisions.
- Drive the development and sustenance of Wireless Network Functions and platform components across the complete product lifecycle.
- Define scalable solution architectures, technical designs, and implementation approaches aligned with product and business requirements.
- Lead planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and field-testing activities.
- Analyze and prioritize complex features across multiple subsystems to enable synchronized and phased product delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams,



partners, and stakeholders to manage technical dependencies and ensure successful system integration.
- Drive the resolution of complex technical challenges, integration issues, and delivery risks through structured problem-solving.
- Review architecture, designs, code, and technical deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, scalability, operational efficiency, and overall product quality.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads through technical guidance, design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps while promoting engineering best practices, automation, reusable solutions, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience: 10 to 15 years’ experience from Telecommunication or Networking background. Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE/EEE/IS) or any other equivalent degree

Candidate should have good coding skills in C/C++
