Key responsibilities

Daily accounting

- Handle end-to-end daily accounting: sales, purchases, expenses, journal entries and reconciliations
- Reconcile daily POS sales with the books and bank/card settlements
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date books across group entities

Cash, bank and receivables
- Monitor daily bank balances and flag cash shortfalls early
- Prepare and update receivables and payables ageing daily
- Follow up on overdue collections and plan vendor payments
- Prepare weekly cash flow report and plan the funding accordingly.

Statutory compliance (including filing)

- GST: computation, returns and reconciliations
- TDS: deduction, payment, returns and certificates
- PF and ESI: monthly contributions and returns
- Coordinate with auditors and consultants on statutory matters

Reporting

- Prepare daily reports for the founders: sales, cash, bank and key payables/receivables
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Support MIS and management reporting as the business grows





Working with the founders

- Work closely with the founders as their day-to-day finance point of contact
- Raise issues and suggest process improvements proactively

Requirements

- 5–10 years of accounting experience in the F&B industry
- Experience in both the hospitality industry and a corporate environment
- Sound accounting knowledge, with a track record of handling the full accounting cycle independently
- Hands-on working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF and ESI, including return filing
- Experience preparing P&L, Balance Sheet and daily management reports

Perks

- Qualification: CA Inter, CMA Inter, M.Com or B.Com
- Experience with Zoho Books and restaurant POS systems
- Exposure to state VAT on liquor and excise compliance for bars and breweries
- Experience in a multi-outlet or multi-entity setup
