Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SolidWorks Designer role based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The designer will create and modify 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks for components, assemblies, and machinery used in the company’s manufacturing processes. Daily tasks include collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to translate functional requirements into accurate designs, optimizing parts for manufacturability, and updating existing designs as needed.

The role involves performing basic design calculations, maintaining design documentation, and ensuring that all drawings meet internal standards and relevant industry guidelines.



The designer will also support troubleshooting on the shop floor by reviewing designs, suggesting improvements, and coordinating design changes with stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D drafting, including assemblies, sheet metal, and detailed part drawings.
- Candidates should possess skills in mechanical design fundamentals, basic engineering calculations, and understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and assembly.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with GD&T;, tolerance analysis, and standard drawing practices for accurate and production-ready documentation.
- Candidates should possess the ability to interpret technical specifications, read existing engineering drawings, and update design documentation systematically.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams on-site.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline is preferred, along with prior experience in an industrial or machinery-manufacturing environment.
- Experience with other CAD tools, basic project coordination, and a focus on safety and quality in design work will be considered beneficial.
