Role Description The Shift Engineer E & I will oversee electrical and instrumentation systems for flexible packaging film production lines in an on-site role located in Ahmedabad. This full-time position involves monitoring and maintaining equipment during assigned shifts, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role includes troubleshooting breakdowns, coordinating with production and maintenance teams, and optimizing machine performance to minimize downtime.

Engineer E & I will also help implement improvements, support adherence to safety and quality standards, and document maintenance activities and equipment performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and support for continuous improvement initiatives will be an integral part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems related to manufacturing machinery and process control.
- Ability to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, including troubleshooting of electrical panels, drives, sensors, and control systems.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices, electrical safety standards, and compliance with plant policies and regulations.
- Experience working in continuous process or packaging film manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in shift-based schedules.
- Comfort with technical documentation, maintenance reporting, and basic computer skills for logging data and generating reports.
- Willingness to learn current technologies and participate in process improvement and reliability enhancement initiatives.
