Role Description The Senior Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing physical design activities for complex ASICs and SoCs, ensuring high performance, power efficiency, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, power analysis, and signal integrity checks, as well as collaborating closely with RTL, analog, and verification teams. The role involves driving physical verification sign-off, resolving design and implementation issues,



and contributing to flow optimization and best practices across different technology nodes.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring close coordination with cross-functional engineering teams and active participation in project planning and reviews.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Verification, such as DRC, LVS, and sign-off checks across multiple process technologies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Logic Design and Circuit Design, with a solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, timing, power, and signal integrity.
- Candidates should possess skills in RTL Design, including interpretation of RTL, constraint development, and interaction with front-end design teams.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) for physical design and verification is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related field is required.
- Relevant experience in advanced nodes (14nm and below) and tape-out ownership is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively in a quick-paced environment.
