ShikshaLokam is an NGO catalysing education leadership in India, enabling and amplifying leadership development opportunities for individuals and institutions engaged in K-12 education systems. We offer open-source technology capabilities and resources to the ecosystem players – Individuals, NGOs, and Government – to enable education leadership development at a large scale with high impact.

What would you do? – Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented, creative and experienced Product Manager (5+ years) to participate in the crafting and evolution of the School Education Leadership societal platform. The candidate will be expected to work with an internal team and partner ecosystem (NGOs, Government agencies, etc.) to help build the platform by contributing enriching use cases from the field and evangelising the platform objective. As the Senior Lead – Product Development, you would –

Devise the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for the platform.

Understand end-user requirements and convert them into valid use cases

Suggest enhancements to the platform that can improve the user experience

Perform quality assurance on the platform

Coordinate with the engineering team to deliver functional solutions.





Prioritise the implementation of current features and set specific timelines

Monitor and report on users’ reactions after each release of platform functionality − Create support and training documents for internal and external use

Who are we looking for? – Requirements and Qualification

Ability to work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to, Partner organisations (NGOs), Govt. Agencies, Subject/Domain experts, Platform Engineering team, End users, etc.

5+ years of experience in managing the entire product lifecycle

Knowledge of Project management tools like Jira, etc

Strong time management and communication skills

Experience of product management in the context of project management/program management would be an added advantage

Domain knowledge of Education and/or Education leadership is desirable, but not required.

Ideal candidates should combine technical background with a Business Administration or Marketing degree.

AI experience – Deep familiarity with specialized use of AI tools like Claude code or Gemini CLI and tools like AI studio or Vercel for PoCs.

1 year using AI tools to come up with POC’s and solutions for quick prototype and testings
